how does it take FOUR parole violations, starting with the rape of a child and ending with aggravated sexual assault and aggravated assault w/ a weapon, to get life? THE SYSTEM IS FUCKING NUTS NUTS NUTS. he received 3 10-year sentences for rape of a child, but was parole after FIVE YEARS. then went back to jail for the same thing, and was then was re-released… TWICE MORE.
this shouldn’t even be an issue! one rape of a child = LIFE NO EXCUSES.
how is this even in the same category as “Woman Denies Affair With Tiger Woods” ????
MAXXI - National Museum of the 21st Century Arts by Zaha Hadid
Jumping on the bandwagon a bit with this one, but only because I’m not usually a fan of her work. I love deconstructivism as much as the next guy but it always seems (to me) to be so over-the-top and pointlessly complex, which may be the reason why so little of it actually ever gets built.
MAXXI’s more restrained and comparitively less complicated than Hadid’s other work, but what really grabs me is the fall of light in these main spaces and the use of bare concrete. It seems like a place I’d definitely want to explore, it’s just a shame that it looks like a glorified nuclear bunker from the outside. Click through for more pictures.
>Prospective client: $400 for a logo?! Why are you so expensive? My nephew has Photoshop—I can just get him to do it.
Me: Does your nephew have Microsoft Word?
Prospective client: Yes.
Me: Then have him write you a novel while he’s at it.holy fuck this is perfect
such a good response to something honestly said many times over
people don’t understand that it takes more than photoshop to be a designer
